When wrongdoing occurs, the system that receives it matters as much as the act of reporting it. This certification validates competence in designing, operating, and overseeing whistleblowing mechanisms that are legally sound, ethically grounded, and genuinely protective.
Certified professionals are expected to receive, assess, document, and manage reports in accordance with ISO 37002:2021 and applicable law — protecting confidentiality, identifying retaliation risks, managing escalation, and handling sensitive information with rigour.
This certification does not confer investigative, legal, or disciplinary authority beyond the individual's formal role. Certified professionals are expected to operate within defined governance frameworks and refer matters to competent authorities when required.
